KINDNESS – December 2024 Main Street School & Kindergarten Center hyper-FOCUS on KINDNESS during December. Our school & our community need students & members that care about others & show it. The December focus on Kindness is sponsored by Yen Ching Chinese Restaurant & owners, JinCheng Chen & Li Wang. The focus w/ KINDNESS obviously has an anti-bullying message that is reinforced all year. Our "mantra" @ Main Street School & Kindergarten Center is "BE NICE; WORK HARD." Main Street & Kindergarten is very proud to announce December 2024 KINDNESS Student-Leaders. Students were identified w/ combination of teacher observation & peer input.

RAMS Families, Shelbyville Police Chief, Chad Brachbill, did reach out in an effort to work together as a school & community. On Thursday, December 12th, 2024, the 100 block of S. Chestnut Street will not have street parking available for pick-up at the 3:00 PM student dismissal. Please plan to avoid this street. There will be a visitation at Lockart Green Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 PM. Safety remains the priority. Parents and students may still cross safely at the crosswalk and a crossing guard will be on duty. Please accept this communication as a request for cooperation and respect. Our goal is a safe and efficient dismissal process for our students and families while working with our community.
